Daytrip safety and hygiene standards

Throughout most of the world, the coronavirus spread has been largely slowed or even stopped (nice work New Zealand!), and travel avenues are slowly beginning to reopen. We believe that it’s still important to practice caution if you do decide to travel. As a private car service, Daytrip minimizes your exposure to crowds, but we still have put some new precautions in place to ensure your trip is as safe as possible.

Requirements for drivers:

  • Sanitize the car before and after each trip

  • Wear a facemask at all times during the trip.

  • Wear gloves when handling passenger’s luggage.

  • Have hand sanitizer available for customers

Along with these requirements during the ride, we’ve also asked our drivers to stay home if they’re feeling even the slightest bit sick to keep you safe as a passenger and to help prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus. We’re doing everything we can to make sure Daytrip is both the safest and most comfortable way to travel. As such, we don’t require you to take any extra measures, though there are some simple things you can do to protect yourself and others even further.

Our recommendations for customers:

  • Wash your hands before and after your ride.

  • Wash or sanitize your hands after any sightseeing stops.

  • Open the car windows for better ventilation

  • Sit in the backseats

  • Travel with a facemask

It’s also important to follow each country’s recommendations while traveling. Along with our universal safety rules, our drivers are also required to follow their country’s rules and regulations. Daytrip is following regulation updates all day, every day, to ensure you have the safest and most comfortable trip possible.
